Watch as Len Finn unpacks Psalm 139:8-10.
“If I ascend to heaven, you are there!
If I make my bed in Sheol, you are there!
If I take the wings of the morning
and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea,
even there your hand shall lead me,
and your right hand shall hold me.”Psalm 139:8-10
The Highs and Lows
It is easy to forget God in the high places of your life, when you feel in control. But He is there. And He is the force behind every good thing happening in that moment. In every joyous moment of your life, He is there. Because He is the source of every joy you’ve ever known. You cannot hide from God in the high places of your life – He is always there.
It is also easy to forget gos in the low places – the places of death and despair. The image we have in Psalm 139:8 is of a corpse laid out on the ground. But even in this state, God is there. There is no depth to which God will not descend for His beloved.
