GET INVOLVED
“Without serving you will sink as a Christian. To wash one another’s feet, to share the gospel, to care for the poor, to take responsibility for building up the body of Christ - that is the Christian life.”

Ministries
Looking to get more involved within the life of the church? Here is a list of all of the major ministry teams at St. George's. Everyone has unique gifts God has put inside them to serve His church. Contact a ministry team leader to find out how to get more involved.
Men
STEPHEN WISHART, MEN'S MINISTRY LEADER
The goal of our Men's Ministry is to train and equip men to live lives shaped by the good news of the Gospel. To this end, we meet monthly for TTM (Training in Truth for Maturity) gatherings, where we share breakfast and fellowship together and are trained in the truth of God's word. In the past, our team has also run seasonal Men's country cookouts, where we grow in gospel-shaped community together, as we grill an amazing meal.
Women
ELEA HOFMAN, WOMEN'S MINISTRY LEADER
Our Women's Ministry's vision is to see the women of our church growing in their identity as women of God. This takes the shape of bible study, fellowship, and women-to-women discipleship. Take a Moment, our regular women's gathering, is a night of deep fellowship, gospel-sharing, and prayer. Our Afternoon Women's Fellowship is a gathering of our senior ladies around fellowship, food, and christian truths.
Youth
DAN TAYLOR, YOUTH PASTOR
The youth are the future of the church. Our Youth Ministry works to create an atmosphere where our youth can flourish in their walk with Christ and take hold of their faith as their own. Our Youth Ministry team comes alongside our Junior-High and Senior-High youth and through teaching, games, and small-group discipleship, teaches them about good news of the Gospel.
Children
DAN TAYLOR, CHILDREN'S MINISTRY LEADER
Our children's ministry works with the youngest people of our church-family. Our goal is to grow up these little ones to love, trust and serve Jesus and to treasure his word. We have a large Sunday school ministry and thriving Nursery. Through crafts, stories, and song, our team of volunteers create a safe and fun environment for our kids to learn more about God and His word.
Seniors
DONNA RIGO, SENIOR'S MINISTRY LEADER
We believe that the church thrives most when it embraces and equips people of all ages - from the littlest children to the oldest seniors. Our 'In Touch' senior's ministry serves the senior members of our church-family by organizing Senior's events and by reaching out to our seniors who are in need of a phone call or a friendly visitor.
Missions
We believe that the gospel moves us to help the poor, heal the broken-hearted, and reach the lost. Our Missions team works with organizations, churches and individuals from our local area to across the globe to help make a difference in this world. While God is at work mightily within our church-family, we also want to support the work of the Lord beyond our walls.
Outreach
We run and host many ministries for our local neighbourhood because we want our neighbours to brush up against gospel-generosity and community. We believe that we have been called as God's people to be a blessing to the nations (Gen 22:18), and so we seek to bless the neighbourhood in which God has planted us. Our outreach team organizes a wide variety of community events each year, from farmers markets to Easter egg hunts - all so people can tangibly taste and see the goodness of the gospel.
Worship
BRYAN HUNT, WORSHIP PASTOR
Worship is at the heart of the Christian life. And worshipping together as a church-family is both biblical (Heb 10:25) and integral for Christian growth. Our worship ministry encompasses all of the different facets of our Sunday worship services. Whether it's our Worship Music Team, Audio/Visual Team, Scripture Readers, Chancel Guild, or Communion Assistants - they all contribute to the enrichment of our worship services.
Small Groups + Discipleship
As Christians, we don't grow in isolation. We believe that real discipleship only happens through deep, committed fellowship with other Christians. That is why we put a real emphasis on small groups and mentorship. We also run a monthly home fellowship where members of our church-family share their testimonies over a good meal.
Prayer
kelvin loveless, prayer leader
J.C. Ryle said, "Prayer is to faith what breath is to the body." At St. George's, we believe that prayer is the means by which our faith grows and flourishes, and it is one of the means by which God accomplishes His purposes in this world. St. George's prayer ministry has several different elements. Our prayer chain confidentially prays for needs and prayer requests for people within our church-family, while our Healing Service takes place several times a year to pray with those in need of physical, emotional and spiritual healing. We also have a weekly prayer meeting to interceed for our church and the world.
Newcomers
We believe that the gospel leads us to extravagant hospitality. We want to be a welcoming church that is eager to share the grace and generosity we've found in Jesus. Our Newcomers Team takes the lead in running events, and developing strategies to intentionally engage new members of our congregation, and to connect them to the life of our church. Our Greeting Team welcomes and engages newcomers at our Sunday Services.
Building
Ed Lewis, Building MAINTENANCE LEADER
We want to steward and care for the church building that God has provided for us. Jesus himself was a carpenter and we believe serving the Lord by using our hands is a beautiful thing. Our Building Maintenance Team works to make sure that our building remains in working order. This includes everything from fixing leaky faucets, to testing fire alarms, to building storage sheds.
