Dear Church Family,
Matthew was discharged from McMaster yesterday and we came home with mixed feelings. On the one hand we were thrilled to be home after spending 7 days in hospital. At the same time we came home without a clear diagnosis.
Our cardiologist believes Matthew to be stable enough to be home for a few days while getting Holter readings in a more normal setting. He will wear the monitor until 2pm today and then send it in for results. We hope and pray this will give clear direction for the cardiology team and lead to a definitive diagnosis.
Not yet having a clear diagnosis has placed us in a holding pattern. I am further frustrated because I can see that Matthew’s symptoms are not getting better. Yet there is very little we can do until we get these latest results.
Please continue to pray for Matthew. Also pray that we would know if and when the time comes to take a different course of action.
With love from the Glenn Household,
R.D.
