Last Sunday Ray David continued in our sermon series on Ephesians – Joined Together. You can listen to his sermon – ‘Hearts Enlightened’ here.
Here are 8 truths to commit to memory from ‘Hearts Enlightened’.
1. Believing Jesus is Lord should be the great antidote to arrogance. It is not about what you do for God – it is about what God has done for you.
2. If you think Christianity is all about trying harder to be a better person, than you don’t yet know Christ.
3. Jesus calls Christians to actually love each other in a radically different way than the world around them.
4. God loves you; period – no qualifiers, if , ands, or buts.
5. Hope can be a vague, empty-headed optimism. But God gives you a hope that is solid and secure. Your hope lies in the fact that your brother is Lord and King of the universe.
6. The very same power that revivified Christ from the grave is working in your life.
7. When things in your life look dead and hopeless, God can bring them back to life.
8. The great truth of the universe is that everything has been put under Christ’s authority.
