Josev Biggar is to be ordained to be a Vocational Deacon during this Sunday’s 10:15am service (June 15th). He will be joined by his wife Carny, to co-ordinate small groups at St. George’s. Please pray for Joe as he prepares for his ordination.
What’s a Deacon?
Deacons are those who have been called to a special ministry of servanthood in the church. Qualifications for Deacons are clearly laid out in 1 Timothy 3:8-13.
Josev Biggar
Joe has been a member of our church for almost 10 years. He has served faithfully as a AV Team Leader, Youth Leader, and Executive Council member.
Pray for Joe
Joe is being ordained as a deacon, because he is a servanthearted individual who has been identified by Ray David and our Bishop Charlie Masters as a Deacon within our church. In some ways, this ordination is just an acknowledgment of a pre-existing reality. Joe is in many ways already acting as a deacon and we are just affirming this truth. We as his church family are called to uplift this man in prayer. During this ordination service, please sincerely pray that the Lord would continue to anoint him to serve and that he would proclaim the gospel by the conduct of his life.
