This past Sunday we unpacked our vision statement at St. George’s:
“Seeking the spiritual, cultural and social renewal of the city through individuals transformed by the good news of Jesus, for the glory of God and the joy of all people.”
During our worship time we sang the Chris Tomlin song, “God of this City”. It is a kind of prophetic song – declaring God’s good plans for our city and asking/believing that the Lord would do even greater things in this place. As we begin the process of moving into our new church home in Alton Village, let’s get on our knees and cry out to God for the renewal of our city. Let pray and work to see lives transformed by the gospel. Let’s be intentional in boldly declaring the good news of Jesus. Let’s make this song the cry of our hearts, because He is indeed the Light in this darkness, the Hope to the hopeless, and the Peace to the restless.
