Wonderful news!!!!!
Both guys are done and recovering! Joe finished first @ around 3pm and was recovering til 6:00pm before anyone could visit. His surgery went well. The dr’s did knick an artery, that he lost a lot of blood, but Joe had a transfusion of his own blood that was taken before surgery in the event of a transfusion needed. He is well and recovering nicely. I saw him and he was talking and being himself. Said some jokes and asked repeatedly how Blair was doing….very emotional for me, in that he is an incredible man drugged and recovering while worrying about his friend. Truely awesome.
On to Blair, I just met with the surgeon not long ago, and said Blair is well and recovering. We will see him within the hour or two as he begins to wake. The surgeon was quite pleased with the surgery. he said, I quote..” very uneventful” . Thank you God for this amazing day! Both guys bypassed ICU, which indicates they are strong and their bodies are responding and cooperating well. The Dr. said their bodies stabalized (sp?) great!
looking forward to seeing him!
Last thing Blair said to us as he was wheeled away to surgery is ” go get a hero burger”
I think I just may do that!!!
