Dear St. George’s Family,
We do not know exactly what this coming week holds. It will include an appointment with the oncologist at some point and a 2nd opinion appointment at the Toronto Western Hospital on Thursday. We plan to attend the Tuesday evening prayer time and will fast and pray, along with you, during the day. The rest of the week is subject to the schedules of doctors, MRI’s and test results.
So much of this journey is unknown.
There are a few certain things.
Rhonda, Matthew and I trust the steadfast love of the Lord, no matter what.
His goodness is unwavering.
Rhonda’s illness will bring glory to God.
Rhonda and I love each of you more than you may ever know.
We cherish your unflagging prayer.
I was taken back to the Psalms today. Psalm 36 spoke to me deeply, as it has in many times of profound need.
“Your steadfast love, O Lord, extends to the heavens, your faithfulness to the clouds. Your righteousness is like the mountains of God; your judgments are like the great deep; man and beast you save, O Lord. How precious is your steadfast love, O God! The children of mankind take refuge in the shadow of your wings. They feast on the abundance of your house, and you give them drink from the river of your delights. For with you is the fountain of life; in your light do we see light.” Psalm 36
Please pray for a miraculous healing for my wife, for peace and comfort for my son and for wisdom to navigate the medical system this week.
The prayer at eventide in the Book of Common Prayer says,
O LORD, support us all the day long of this troublous life, until the shadows lengthen and the evening comes, the busy world is hushed, the fever of life is over, and our work is done. Then, Lord, in thy mercy, grant us safe lodging, a holy rest, and peace at the last; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
We continue to cling to the certain things and entrust the rest to our Master.

The faith of you and your wife speaks volumes and gives real meaning to belief in Jesus Christ
A frequent watcher of Huntley Street, I’ve seen both of you and been moved by your strength in a time of illness in your family
May God Bless you and your son in many ways in the coming months

Hi Ray David,Rhonda & Matthew
We were so shocked to hear of your diagnosis,Rhonda, on Friday on Huntley St. Moira was our guest speaker at our ladies rally a week ago & must not have known at that point,or I’m sure she would have asked for prayer.I lead a prayer class at our church & this morning I put your names on our list.So you will have people here in Port Rowan praying you through this challenge. Our God is a miracle-working God & HE IS ABLE!! Thanks for the updates-it helps us better pray for each days’ needs.
Sincerely,
Ernie & Marlene Doerksen
Hi Ray David & Rhonda…You both interviewed Rose & me on 100 Huntley in 2001. I’m just now finding out this news about Rhonda. We just want you to know that we will go to The Father of love & mercy in prayer for you both.

Rhonda, you and your family are in my prayers. May the Lord reveal His glory. We (my husband and myself) are wanting God’s healing for you and much more blessings for your whole family. “God, please touch Rhonda right now and shrink that tumour. Continue to give the doctors your wisdom, in Jesus’ name.”
Dear Lord ,I know with all my heart that Rhonda loves you very much .I also know that you love her more than she and her family can ever imagine . I ask this night that you will send a miraculous healing to her .
Gladden the hearts of her son and husband and give this family peace I pray.
Thank you dear Jesus .
I continue in faithful prayer throughout so many parts of my days and nights over you Rhonda and “plant firmly in my sight” that sickness is not bigger than Our God.
God Bless you all,
Barb.
RD, Colin, Tyler and I have been following your blog faithfully and unfortunately understand quite well what you are going through. Please know that we pray for Rhonda, Matthew and yourself. I know how difficult it is as a spouse to watch your beloved face cancer and how you want to make it all better. My only advice is not to be afraid to ask for and accept help. People want to help, you are not alone.
We will continue to pray for all of you,
Karine
