This is a new arrangement that Bryan wrote for the ‘Magnificat’, which is the Song of Mary from Luke 1: 46-55, and a major Canticle in the Evening Prayer Service in the Anglican Church.
My spirit rejoices in God my Saviour
For he hath regarded the lowliness of his handmaiden
Now all generations from henceforth shall call me blessed
For he that is mighty hath magnified me and holy is his Name,
His Name
His mercy is always on them that fear him
In his strength He hath scattered the proud with his arm
For he hath put down all the mighty from their high seats
And He hath exalted the humble and the meek
And He hath filled up all the hungry with good things
And the rich he hath sent away empty and bare
Remembering mercy, his servant he helped thee, O Israel
As he promised our fathers, Abraham and all his seed forever,
Ever
Glory be to the Father
And to the Son and Holy Ghost
As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be
World without end. Amen.
