Welcome to the online home of St. George's Anglican Church, Burlington. We are a Christ-Centered, Bible-rooted church family located in Southern Ontario. We are glad you're interested in our church. What is the Gospel?
First of all, the gospel is good news - the good news of what God has done in Jesus Christ. The Bible depicts people, all people, as in rebellion against God, and therefore under his judgment. But while God stands in judgment over us because of our sin, amazingly he also stands over us in love, because of his incredible grace. The gospel is the good news of what God, in love, has done in Jesus Christ, through Jesus’s cross and resurrection, to deal with our sin and to reconcile us to himself.
Join us on Sundays as we gather together in worship around the good news of Jesus.

Humanity on Trial
In Mark 15:1–20, Jesus stands before Pilate, bearing the shame and guilt we deserve. In the exchange with Barabbas, we see a powerful picture of the gospel: the innocent Christ condemned so that guilty sinners could be set free and reconciled to God.
